The main objectives of the assignment are to manage the Sustainable Road Maintenance Program for Africa (SRMPA) as well as to support the implementation of other programs/ initiatives mentioned above. The services to be provided under the assignment include:
- Lead the Bank's special Initiative of Sustainable Road Maintenance Program for Africa (SRMPA) Year 2 under the guidance of PICU 1 manager to select Infratech Solutions and propose an innovative financing option to develop sustainable financing mechanism in selected 6 countries.
- Support the promotion of other strategic initiatives within the transport space such as Regional Corridor development initiative and G20 Infrastructure Working Group.
- Support the management of Capacity Building and Technical Assistance projects in transport space such as African SME contractor capacity building program.
- Support the promotion of the Bank's strategic policy development activities within the transport space such as Sustainable Transport Action Plan (STAP).
- Assist in preparing the African transport policy dialogue “AfDB Transport Forum 2026”.
- Develop funding proposals to trust funds and donors to promote on-going / new transport initiatives.
- Provide any additional support related to financial structuring and relevant activities that may be required by the PICU1 team members and management, such as development of briefs and memos to the senior management.
