Under the leadership and guidance of the Director, Climate Change and Green Growth Department and the AFAC Task Manager, the Consulting firm’s core duties will include the following activities including but not limited to (further details are outlined in the Terms of Reference):
- Enhance SDRB's internal capabilities to address climate risk through practical measures, tools, and methodologies in priority sectors.
- Analyze SDRB’s climate policies to identify gaps and opportunities to contribute to Somalia’s climate objectives.
- Align SDRB's climate strategies with Somalia's National Transformation Plan and its international agreements and best practices.
- Create training programs and guidelines for SDRB staff to implement climate policies and assess risks, while partnering with international finance institutions for support.
