Under the supervision and guidance of the Executive Secretary and the Chief Legal Counsel, the Legal Consultant for the Administrative Tribunal – French will have the following tasks and deliverables:
1. Conduct legal research and analysis of legal issues on cases filed in French;
2. Prepare summaries of pleadings submitted by the parties to the Tribunal on cases filed in French;
3. Identify legal issues and relevant precedents and prepare memoranda on cases submitted to the Tribunal in French.
4. Reviewing pleadings, judgments and other relevant documents that have been translated into French.
5. Assist the Executive Secretariat in the publication of Tribunal’s newsletters.
6. Assist the Executive Secretariat in the launching and management of the e-justice filing system.
7. Assist the Executive Secretary and Chief Legal Counsel in other tasks that may be assigned.
