ECMR.2 is currently seeking to recruit a senior consultant with the primary objective of developing a competitiveness index for all African countries using a theoretically sound methodology that allows for cross-country comparisons. Preference will be given to individuals with a strong track-record of data collection and footprint in Africa, and with strong quantitative and data analysis skills. To achieve the main objective, the Individual Consultant will collaborate closely with researchers at the ECMR.2 of the AfDB on all activities including identifying, sourcing, analyzing and aggregating the data needed to calculate a competitiveness index based on indicators that will be grouped at the sub-pillar and pillar level. The consultant will also contribute to the production of a comprehensive report based on the quantitative analysis performed.
