Under the direct supervision and guidance of the Regional Sector Manager, the Individual Consultant will carry out the following tasks:

• In coordination with the African Development Bank’s Communication and External Relations Department (PCER), develop and provide operations focused multimedia communications materials.
• In collaboration with PCER and collaborate with stakeholders in developing a strategy and action plan for communication and knowledge management in the AHAI.4 region.
• Develop an integrated communication plan, tools, and materials to improve reporting on capacity development, knowledge brokerage, and policy dialogue outcomes to internal and external stakeholders of the Bank.
• Advise AHAI.4 on the best practices to achieve maximum public visibility for its knowledge products.
• Recommend a calendar of key agriculture sector fora and events to attend to boost visibility of AHAI.4 knowledge work, and support external resource and partnership mobilization
• Provide editorial support and ensure high quality on all outputs of the AHAI.4 Division, i.e., edit and proofread documents and write-ups for external and internal audiences, including press releases, op-eds/blogs, speeches, PowerPoint, and other presentations, as required.
• Design and produce high impact publications and infographic to achieve maximum visibility of Bank’s investments in agricultural transformation in East Africa, including periodic reports on Feed Africa operations, the Africa Emergency Food Production Facility, Prevention Envelope of the Transition Support Facility, Climate Action Window, etc.
• Partake in the process of knowledge synthesis, development, and publication of knowledge products emanating from completed and ongoing projects and investment operations.
• Identify and document with evidence success stories for scaling in future agricultural investment projects funded by the Bank.
