The individual consultant will be recruited to serve the Statistics Department through its Africa Information Highway (AIH) initiative. The consultant will support the following activities:
- Track the implementation status of AIH activities in each assigned country.
- Conduct periodic reviews and assessments to identify gaps and areas needing improvement.
Technical Coordination and Support - Liaise with national focal points and technical teams to understand country-specific challenges.
- Coordinate the delivery of technical assistance (e.g., training, troubleshooting, platform updates).
- Facilitate virtual or in-person support missions when necessary.
- Document ongoing activities, including meetings, workshops, and technical interventions.
- Prepare monthly or quarterly progress reports summarizing achievements, challenges, and next steps.
- Maintain a repository of country reports, technical notes, and support materials.
Editorial and Communication Support - Review and edit English-language documents produced under the AIH initiative.
- Support the development of communication materials (e.g., briefs, newsletters, case studies).
Support the organization of workshops, webinars, and training sessions.
Capacity Building.
